Configure reason codes

  1. Select Point of Use for Department Inventory > Configuration.
  2. Select the Settings.

    The General Settings panel is displayed.

  3. Select the Reason Codes tab.
  4. In the Reason Code field, type the Reason Code to be used when resolving variance after performing the inventory count.
  5. Select transaction type Add or Remove.

    Selecting Add means the user can select this reason code when adding items to the inventory.

    Selecting Remove means user can select this reason code when removing items from the inventory.

  6. Select status.

    Active signifies that the reason code can be used when resolving variance.

    Inactive reason code is only displayed in reports but cannot be selected from the list when resolving variance.

  7. Click Save to save your changes.
  8. Click Edit to edit the reason code.
  9. Click Delete to delete the reason code.
    Note:  Reason code with existing transaction can only be deactivated but not deleted.
