To modify a domain user
Use this procedure to change the authentication type from domain to local and local to domain.
User login tagged as a local user is authenticated against an MSCM server.
- Select User Management in the Administration menu.
- Select Users > Modify. The Search for a User to Modify page is displayed.

Specify this information:
- User ID

Specify the user ID.
- First Name

Specify the first name.
- Last Name

Specify the last name.
- User Group

Select the user group.
- Company
-
Select the company.

Click Search to display the users that fit your search criteria. The Select a User to Modify page is displayed.

- Click Modify link of the user that you want to modify. The Modify User page is displayed.

Switch authentication type.

Specify this information to switch authentication type from domain to local:
- Domain user

Clear this field.
- User ID
-
System displays the user ID for the user that you want to modify.
Note:User ID must be in alphanumeric characters and must be the same name used in the login page.
- First Name

Specify the first name of the new user.
- Last Name

Specify the last name of the new user.
- Password
-
Specify the password.
Note:When switching from domain to local user, you are required to enter a new password. The password must contain at least five alphanumeric characters.
- Confirm Password

Specify your password again.
- Employee ID
-
Specify the employee identification number for the user.

Specify a valid e-mail address for the user.
- Active

System displays the activity status of the user.
- Group

Select the group to which the user is assigned.

Specify this information to switch authentication type from local to domain:
- Domain user

Select this field.
- User ID

System displays the user ID for the user that you want to modify.
Note:User ID must be in alphanumeric characters and must be the same name used in the login page.
- First Name

Specify the first name of the new user.
- Last Name

Specify the last name of the new user.
- Employee ID

Specify the employee identification number for the user.

Specify a valid e-mail address for the user.
- Active

System displays the activity status of the user.
- Group

Select the group to which the user is assigned.
Note:The Password and Confirm Password fields are hidden when switching from local to domain user since the user login uses the password from the Active Directory server.

Specify this information to switch authentication type from domain to local:
- Modify user location access and default locations for the user. For more information, see To assign user access to locations and To assign locations defaults.

Click Modify User to save your changes.
The Modify User page shows the newly modified user information.
- Click OK to confirm the changes.
