Finding a patient from the desktop

Use this procedure to find a patient in Point of Use for Department Inventory from the desktop.

  1. On the Find Patient page, click Search to see the list of patients.
  2. Narrow down your search by specifying either one of the information in the fields. Specify this information:
    Admission Date

    Specify the patient's admission date range.

    An approximate date range can be specified if the exact date of admission is unknown.

    Last Name

    Specify the patient's last name.

    First Name

    Specify the patient's first name.

    Patient ID

    Specify the patient's identification number.

    Date of Birth

    Specify the patient's date of birth.

  3. In the list, select the patient and click Add.

    The patient ID, Patient Name, Birth date, Account Number and Patient Class are displayed.
