Item detail

Item details provide information about the item as defined in the Backoffice such as Item Group, Inventory Class, Item Number, Description, GTIN/UPN, Manufacturer Information, and Consignment. It also contains user-defined information such as the following:

• Alternate Description - a longer description than the main description, this will be visible only in this application.

• POU UOM - the unit of measure that is used in this application. This can be the UOM listed in IC11 for this item. It can also be any other valid UOM.

• Conversion Factor - the multiplier used to convert POU UOM to the Requisition UOM. If POU UOM is not from IC11, then conversion factor must be defined in Item Detail.

• Tracking - mode of tracking in this application.

• Remarks - notes that are displayed generating replenishment for the item.

• Minimum Order - the smallest allowable amount to order.

• Special Item - A special item does not have a Lawson Item ID linked to Procurement. Special items are identified by 1) Manufacturer catalog number, 2) Item group, and 3) ITEM.EXT_DATA_IND = 2. Special items can exist in the POU Department Inventory item table and can be used on cases.
