Recording cycle counts
Use this procedure to record cycle counts with the handheld terminal. You can scan or specify tems, locations, bins, and companies.
Before you record cycle counts with the handheld application, you or your administrator must configure cycle counting in the application. See Configuring cycle counting for more information.

To record cycle counts
- From the main menu, select Cycle Count. The Download Count Forms screen is displayed.

Select the company ID from the drop-down list to view
the locations available for your company.
Note:
The application warns you if you have made selections in the cycle count for one company and then change to another company. You cannot count cycle count forms for multiple companies.

Select the check boxes next to the forms you want
to count and tap Download.
The handheld application downloads the count forms you selected. The Ready to Count screen is displayed.

Select the cycle count row you want to count in the
list and tap Count. The Cycle Counting screen is displayed.
Note:
GTIN and HIBC scanning are enabled in Lawson Procurement 9.0.1.3 version and above. For more information, see the Inventory Control User Guide.

Specify this information:
- Non-Blind Count

This option displays the freeze quantity and count.
- Blind Count

This option does not display the freeze quantity.

In the Count field, specify the count. You can also
use the Up or Down arrow keys to increase
or decrease the count.
Note:
To go to a specific item that you want to count, scan the bar code label for the item.

Tap the Next arrow to specify the cycle
count for the item and to move to the next item.
You can also scan an Item or Bin label when navigating through the list.

Tap Done when you have finished the current cycle
count form.
Note:
Tap List to view all counts for the current cycle count form. The Ready to Count page is displayed.
Take note of these status items:
- Blank Circle

This indicates that the cycle count form was not counted.
- Half-Filled Circle

This indicates that the cycle count was partially counted.
- Full Circle

This indicates that the cycle count was fully counted.
- Continue counting cycle count items for the remaining count forms using the same steps.
- Select the check boxes of the completed cycle counts you want to send to the main server and tap Send.

When the system prompts you to send the counts, tap Yes.
The system displays a progress bar showing the synchronization with server.
- When the system displays a message telling you that the cycle counts have been sent, tap OK.

If you are finished counting cycle count forms, tap
Exit.
To continue counting the remaining count forms, go to Step 4.
