Notes and attachments

To resolve task and alert items, you can add notes and attachments.

Notes can be added to each alert or task when it is assigned to a user. For alerts and tasks that are created by an external application, the notes can be seen only by other users who can see this message directly in their Infor Inbox. For example, you can add a note before you-reassign a task or alerts from your list to another user.

For tasks that are generated by Workflow, the notes added in each workflow task step are propagated to subsequent steps. In a workflow task, you can see and add notes for the current task, and you can see the notes from previous tasks.

You cannot add notes to notifications. If the notification is generated by Workflow and the option to show notes from previous steps was selected, you can see all notes from all previous tasks in the same workflow.

Attachments can be added to each alert or task when it is assigned to a user. Attachments are visible for users who have this item in their list. In case of alerts, the attachments are only linked to the specific alert. In case of tasks, the attachments added to a task are visible in all subsequent tasks and notifications from the same workflow.

You can download attachments added by other users. You can delete only attachments added by yourself.
