Re-assigning an alert or task

You can re-assign alerts and tasks to another user. You can only re-assign to users that are on the distribution list of the alert or task. Re-assign alerts and tasks if you cannot solve the alert or task, or if you are not responsible for its completion.

To reassign an alert or task:

  1. Click the task or alert item to open the details view.
  2. Optionally, specify a note for the new assigned user.
    For example, specify the current state of the alert or task and the reason why you have reassigned it. The note is added to the Notes view in the alert or task details.
  3. Click Assign and select a user name from the drop-down list.
    The alert or task is assigned to the selected user and is removed from your list.
