Infor Ming.le External Entity Management overview
External Entity Management provides you with the ability to administer external users for Infor OS. External users are those users who are outside your business organization yet who must have access to controlled confidential information.
External Entity Management enables you to manage external users outside your internal user directory and to restrict the level of permissions and accessibility that the external users have inside Infor applications. You can assign external users permissions and access to Infor applications that are different from those assigned to the internal employees in the tenant company.
- Tenant: The company that purchased and licensed software from Infor.
- External Entity: An external entity that the tenant uses to limit access and permissions into the tenant's Infor applications.
- Tenant administrator: An administrator in the tenant company can manage the external entity and external entity users.
- Tenant user: An enterprise user and an employee of the tenant.
- External Entity administrator: An administrator in the external entity company who is permitted to manage external entity users for the specific external entity.
- External Entity user: A user registered under the external entity; a non-enterprise user.
A tenant administrator is a level higher than an external entity administrator. Tenant administrators have complete access to tenant functionality within Infor OS. External Entity administrators have privileges that affect only users assigned to their external entity.
This guide provides instructions of actions that you, as a tenant administrator, can take to manage your external entities in Infor Ming.le.
