Mobile Device Management (MDM)
Mobile device management is a type of security software used by an IT department to monitor, manage, and secure employees' mobile devices. These mobile devices are deployed across multiple mobile service providers and across multiple mobile operating systems. MDM functionality can include over-the-air distribution of applications, data, and configuration settings for all types of mobile devices, including mobile phones, smart phones, and tablet computers. Over-the-air programming (OTA) capabilities are considered a main component of mobile network operator and enterprise-grade mobile device management software. These include the ability to remotely configure a single mobile device, an entire fleet of mobile devices, or any IT-defined set of mobile devices; send software and OS updates; and remotely lock and wipe a device, which protects the data stored on the device when it is lost or stolen. Infor Go Mobile device management allows organization administrators to install, upgrade, configure, and remove Infor Go applications across enrolled devices. If your administrator has preconfigured the profile settings when the Infor Go mobile application is pushed to your device, then only your credentials are required.
