Using filters, sorting, and searching with the save filter

You can use filters, sort, and search options individually or combined to affect which pages are shown in the catalog and in what order.

When a filter or search is applied, the view changes to the list view where the results are displayed. The applied active filters and search query are displayed above the list. You can remove them by clicking Clear All after the filters or by clicking the remove icon (X) for a single filter.

This table describes the filter, sort, and search options:

Option Description
Search The search field is available on the Page Catalog title bar. You can search for any part of a page title, description, or tag. To search:
  1. Click the search icon on the Page Catalog title bar.
  2. Enter the text to search.
  3. Press Enter to apply the search. The results are displayed in the Page Catalog list view.
Category Click a category from the Category filter on the Page Catalog side bar to show that category.
Owner To filter by owner, select from these options:
  • My Pages to show your pages.
  • Anyone to display all pages.
  • Owned by to find pages owned by another user. Start entering the name of a user in the search field below Owned by. The search field displays available users that match your search text. When you select a user, the list is updated with the new filter.
Note: An administrator may create a configuration that prevents you from using the Owned by filter. In this case, the Owned by field is not available.
Tags You can filter on tags by clicking an available tag in the view or by adding the tag in the tags filter in the side bar.

To add a tag, start entering the tag text in the search field in the tags section. The search field displays suggestions. Select a suggestion to add it as a filter.

If the tag you are looking for is not listed among the suggestions, enter the text in the search field and click the add icon (+) next to the search field to apply it as a tag filter.

Type Use the Type filter to show all types of pages, only published pages, or only standard pages.
Note: The Type filter is available only when the standard pages feature is enabled.
Sort The Sort option controls the order in which pages are shown. You can sort by title and show the newest or oldest pages first. The Sort option is available only in the list view so you must add a filter or search before you sort.
Save Filter Saving a filter means saving all applied filters, the search query, and the sort order so that you quickly can apply them again. A saved filter is always available in the My Filters drop-down list on the title bar. The drop-down list is not displayed if you have no saved filters.
