Understanding published widgets

When you publish a local widget to the Widget Catalog, the widget becomes a published widget. A published widget is displayed in the Widget Catalog for all users unless an administrator adds permissions to the widget. A user can add a published widget to a page. When a published widget is republished, all users who have that widget on a page can see the updated widget the next time the user starts Infor Ming.le. A user can also manually refresh a page to see the updates.

In most cases, you are not authorized to make changes to widgets published by other users. You can, however, duplicate a published widget from the Widget Catalog to create a local widget that you can configure. After you duplicate a published widget, you no longer see updates made to the published widget.

An administrator may disable a standard widget, and in this case, all published widgets that are based on that standard widget are not available on any page and are not displayed in the Widget Catalog.

Note: You may have to refresh the page or restart Infor Ming.le to see new or updated widgets.
