Start Experience

When you log into Homepages for the first time, the Start Experience depends on the configuration set up for your administration.

Depending on the setup, you can have multiple pages or no pages at all. When you have no pages, ”Welcome to Infor Ming.le” is displayed, and the Create New Page and Page Catalog options are available. These options may be hidden depending on your permissions.

Infor provides default Infor Standard pages for CloudSuites and applications. This page is displayed if it is available for your role, or if you have the application and the administrator has not configured the Start Experience.

These types of pages are available for the Start Experience:

  • Private page

This is your own page created and configured by the administrator from a template. You can add and delete widgets and make this page your own, or you can delete it if you would prefer to create a new page from an empty page.

  • Page from the catalog

This is a page added from the catalog. This may be a published page or a standard page created by Infor for a specific role and CloudSuite or application.

  • Standard page

This is a page provided by Infor. Standard pages contain predefined content. Infor reserves the right to, at any time, publish new versions of standard pages with updated content. You can make a copy to preserve the content of a standard page and prevent it from being updated. See Duplicating a page.

  • Mandatory page

This is a page that is configured by your administrator. Unlike the other pages described previously, you cannot remove this page from My Pages. See Using My Pages.

  • Default page

Default pages are pages that are added when a user does not have any pages. Default pages can be configured by your administrator. If no default pages are configured, you may still get up to five default standard pages provided by Infor.

If you want to avoid getting default pages, you can create a new private page or add a page from the catalog.

Note: Default pages are still applied even if there is a mandatory page.
Note: There may be permission configuration that prevents you from creating private pages, adding pages from the catalog, and so on. See Understanding user permissions.
