IDO Data Rules Wizard

The IDO Data Rules Wizard is used to create a new IDO data rule and associate it with and existing IDO. The wizard establishes the initial data rule record and ensures that it is created in a valid metadata state before any rule logic is configured.

Use the IDO Data Rules Wizard when adding a new data rule to an IDO, especially when working with extended IDOs where inheritance rules must be enforced.

Data rules created with the wizard define the framework for enforcing conditional business logic at the IDO level. The wizard creates only the initial rule entry and provides a consistent entry point for rule creation from supported forms. All rule behavior—such as activation conditions, filter conditions, and actions—is defined afterward using the IDO Data Rules form.

This wizard is normally accessed by clicking the New Data Rule button on the IDOs form.
