GoTo Tab response type

An event handler of the GotoTab response type directs the application focus to a specific tab.

Note: This event handler response type applies only to IDS forms.

In typical use, the GotoTab event handler opens a tab specified by the event handler parameters.

The primary intended use of the GotoTab is to support headerless IDS tabs as the IDS equivalent of form pages in Classic. To support this form-page-like behavior, headerless tabs represent the individual pages, and form logic controls navigation programmatically.

A GOTO_TAB event handler response provides this behavior as the IDS equivalent of the Classic GOTO_FORMPAGE event. The response allows form logic to start a specific headerless tab when required.

In addition, SetActiveTab and GetActiveTab provide scripting support. The scripts can use these functions to switch to a target headerless tab or retrieve the currently active tab.

Together, these capabilities allow headerless IDS tabs to function in the same way as form pages in Classic forms.
