Domain Additional Settings

The Domain Additional Settings field specifies optional list source keywords that are applied to the domain IDO's generated list source. Use this field to define FILTER, DISPLAY, RECORDCAP, READMODE, DISTINCT, and ORDERBY behavior directly at the IDO property level, rather than configuring it on the component or component class.

The Domain Additional Settings field is available on the IDO Properties, Property Classes, and Data Rule Actions. When the value for this field is not specified, the value is inherited from the property class and then up the parent class chain, the same effective-value resolution used for the Domain IDO Name field.

Note: This field is optional. If left blank, no additional keywords are appended to the list source.

Use this form to build the list source keywords that are stored in the Domain Additional Settings field of an IDO property. Instead of specifying the keyword syntax manually, use the labeled fields on this form, and the system generates the keyword string that is saved to the property.

This form moves list source settings from component and component-class level to the IDO property level. The keywords you provide are appended to the generated list source of the Domain IDO.

You can open this form when you select the ellipses (...) button associated with the Domain Additional Settings field on any of the affected forms, including the IDO properties form, the IDS version of the IDO Properties form, and the IDO Data Rules form.

This form contains these fields:


Field	Description
Read Mode	Select the read mode that is applied when the domain IDO collection is queried. This corresponds to the `READMODE` keyword.
Filter	Specify the criteria used to limit the rows returned by the collection query. This corresponds to the `FILTER` keyword.
Distinct	Select this check box to exclude duplicates from the returned collection. This corresponds to the `DISTINCT` keyword.
Order By	Specify the properties used to sort returned data. This corresponds to the `ORDERBY` keyword.
Record Cap	Specify the maximum number of records returned. This corresponds to the `RECORDCP` keyword. Note: This value is subject to any system-wide record cap overrides that are in effect.
Columns to Display	Specify which columns are shown in the list and which columns the component is bound to. The component binds to the first displayed column. Select the ellipses (...) button to select the columns from a picker. This corresponds to the `DISPLAY` keyword.
