OAuth 2.0

Use the OAuth 2.0 option for SMTP authentication in the Intranets form to enable OAuth 2.0 authentication for SMTP using Microsoft Exchange. When you select the OAuth 2.0 option, the OAuth 2.0 group becomes visible, allowing you to specify the Service, Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.

To use the OAuth 2.0 authentication, complete the following requirements:
  • Have an active Microsoft Exchange account.
  • Obtain your own Azure Active Directory (AAD) tenant ID.
  • Register an application in your AAD and obtain the client credentials.
  • Configure the appropriate API permissions in your AAD application, enabling SMTP and email-related operations.
  • Have access to your Exchange Online environment for testing and validation.
