Creating an IDO Data Viewer filter

To narrow down the number of records or display only records with certain criteria, you can apply a filter to the records to be displayed in the grid.

With the IDO Data Viewer form open, select the IDO you want to display the data for, if it is not already selected.

  1. In the IDO Data Viewer form, perform one of the following actions:
    • Manually enter your filter statements in the Filter field.

      If you do this, go on to Step 4.

    • To build the filter with assistance (recommended, to help avoid errors), click Build Filter.

      This opens the IDO Data Viewer Build Filter dialog box.

      If you do this, go on to the next step.

  2. Use the IDO Data Viewer Build Filter dialog box, to build your filter:
    1. Use the left drop-down list to select the property you want to filter by.
    2. Use the center drop-down list to specify an operator.
    3. Use the right field to specify the criteria by which to filter.
    Note: You can apply multiple filter criteria. Optionally, to filter additional criteria as Boolean OR actions rather than AND actions, select the check box.
  3. Click OK.
    The system displays any filters created in the Filter field.
  4. Click Load Collection.

The system retrieves the records in the collection. As it does so, it filters out any records that meet the filter criteria.
