Adding a GridColumn component

  1. Open the form that contains the grid component to which you want to add a column, and go into the designer (Web Designer in the web client, Design Mode in the Windows client).
  2. in the Toolbox, select the Grid component.
  3. In the upper left corner of the grid component, click the "Edit grid column(s)" button.
  4. In the Edit Contained Components dialog box, click Add (near the bottom of the dialog box).
  5. In the Name field of the Properties tab, assign a name that describes the purpose and type of the new grid column.
  6. Optionally, specify other properties of the grid column.
  7. Optionally, use the up and down arrow buttons to rearrange the columns.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Back in the Grid component, set the column width and other visual aspects of the column as desired.
