Data sources for forms and components
The data used by forms and components can come from two basic sources: by binding data
from IDO collections and from lists of source data compiled from IDO collections and other
means.
When an IDO collection is bound to a form, all the properties of that collection are then available to be bound to individual components. This is accomplished using the Component properties sheet in the designer (Web Designer in the web client, Design Mode in the Windows client).
The other primary way to make data choices available is to create a list source, which typically provides a limited set of choices to the user. List sources can be created using data from any of several different means.
