Runtime Layout settings control how the user interface appears in Runtime Mode.

This table shows the available Layout user preferences options in the web client:

Option Description/Comments/Procedures
Theme Select a theme from the list.

These themes are provided with the application:

  • Infor: This is the default theme. Menu items display at the top of the application window, in the menu bar. The My Folders menu and Master Explorer menu appear as sub-menus under the Explorer menu.
  • Classic: This theme provides the look and feel of previous versions of the application. Menus display at the top of the application window in the menu bar. In the application, there are choices of various background and foreground colors, fonts, required field indicators, the appearance of the Explorer, and more.
  • Light: This theme is the rebranded Infor theme that provides a lighter user interface look and feel.
  • Dark: This theme provides a darker user interface look and feel. This theme is a combination of the colors black, for the background, and white, for the buttons, menus, texts, and labels.

Aside from the themes that are provided with the application, user-created themes, if available, also display in the list.

Note:  The web client applies only the settings for background colors, foreground colors, and fonts. Theme settings for the menu bar, group boxes, and notebook tabs, do not apply in the web client.
Toolbar Type Select how to display the toolbar, from these options:
  • Default: The toolbar display is based on the Combined Toolbar User Preference process default setting.
  • Standard: This displays the standard toolbar. Options display as a bi-level toolbar and a separate Form menu.
  • Combined: The toolbar displays as a single-level extendable toolbar, using a combination of toolbar buttons and Form menu options. The Form menu options, in this case, display using toolbar buttons.
Update Existing View When selected, the theme is applied immediately. When cleared, you must refresh the browser to apply any theme changes.

This option is selected by default.

Tabbed Form Layout When selected, forms are shown in tabbed form layout. When cleared, forms are shown in Multiple Document Interface (MDI) layout.

When selected, tabs for each form are shown at the top of the screen. If you open a linked or modal child form from within another form, then tabs for the child forms are tagged as such. You can click and drag to reorder the tabs across the top of the screen.

When cleared, forms open as undocked, floating items, also known as a Multiple Document Interface (MDI) layout. You can click and drag to move floating items around.

This option is selected by default.

Display Status Bar When selected, this option displays the status bar as a footer in the web browser.

The record count, and current record number in the current collection and field, also display. If no form is active, the texts "en-US" and "Powered by Infor" display on the status bar.
