Finding and opening forms using the Select Form dialog box

If you know the name or caption of a form you need, one of the quickest and easiest ways to find and open it is by use of the dialog box. But even if you do not know the exact name, this is a powerful option, because of the filtering capabilities in the Select Form dialog box.

  1. Select Form > Open.
A list of all the forms in the application is displayed. By default, forms are listed by caption, which is the title that is shown when the form is open. You can select whether to display the list according to the form Name or the Caption.
  2. To restrict the list by filtering:
    • In the Filter field (web client) or the All Containing field (Windows client), specify the portion of the caption or name that you know.
    • Optionally, to match your capitalization, select the Case-sensitive option.

The dialog box automatically updates the list display as you enter characters.

  3. In the list, select the form you want.
  4. Click OK.
