Sign In dialog box

Use this dialog box to gain access to the system. This dialog box opens when you do any of these:

  • Start a session.
  • Select Form > New Sign In from the menu bar.
  • Select the Sign Out link from the System menu or the menu bar.

This table lists the elements of this dialog box and explains their use.

Element Function/Comments
Use Workstation Logon Select this check box to sign in to the system using your current Windows domain/userID. When you select this check box, the User Name and Password fields are disabled, but you can still choose a configuration. To use this feature, your system administrator must include your domain and user ID in the Workstation Domain/ID field on the Users form. If you then also check the Use Workstation Logon check box on the View > Settings form, you will never see the Sign In dialog box. If you need to sign in to more than one site (more than one configuration), clear the Use Workstation Logon check box on the View > Settings form; this allows the Sign In dialog box to be displayed so that you can choose configurations.
User Name Type in your user ID, as provided by your system administrator.
Password Type in your user password, as provided by your system administrator or as you have defined it.

For information about changing your password, see User Information.

Passcode Type in your passcode, as obtained from your security token.
Note:  This field displays only if your organization is using a token authentication security system.
Configuration From the drop-down list, select the configuration that you want and that you have been authorized to use by your system administrator.

If your system administrator has created a custom message for users to see on sign-in, it displays between the user credential fields and the OK button.
