Application Schema Tables Metadata

Use the Application Schema Tables Metadata form to specify metadata information about triggers and UET inheritors for application database tables, as well as views assigned over multi-site tables.

If the table has an AlphaKey (Next Key), you should also specfiy the appropriate metadata on the Application Schema Columns Metadata form.

If you create or update an AppTable record using this form, the specified view name must not exist in the AppTable as a Table Name or a View Name in the current collection.

A validation is in place to check if a valid name under SQL Tables and the Site Column Name is an existing column of the selected table. The Site Column Name is identified based on the Site Reference Column Name process default setting, if the View Name is modified and the Site Column Name is empty.

If you create triggers, you must also manually add any appropriate error messages.

Infor recommends that you do not modify data that you did not create. If you do, your changes can be overwritten during an upgrade.
Note:  Updating records is restricted when these conditions are met:
  • In the Process Defaults form, 1 is the value of the Enforce Prefix From Access As process default; or in the Configuration Manager, 1 is the value of the FarmEnforcePrefixFromAccessAs setting.
  • The table names of the records do not start with the current Access As value.
