Message Description

This field displays a description of the message type:

Message Type Message Description
1 User Login: This message indicates that the user logged in.
2 Open Form: This message indicates that the user opened a form.
3 Modify Form/Object: This message indicates that the user modified a form or object.

A user's change to a persistent global variable or other global object creates an entry in the audit log. Changes to form-level variables, object menus, and other form components create entries in the audit log as form changes. The object types that are tracked include these: Form, Form Template, Component Class, Property Class Extension, Short-cut Menu, Variable, Validator, Script, String, and Filter.

4 Event Audit: This message indicates that the Application Event System performed audit logging from the Audit action type.
5 User Login Failure: This message indicates that a user login failure occurred.
6 User Logout: This message indicates that the user logged out.
10,000 and above Custom Message: A message description might be Purchase Order Events, and then the log description might be, for example, User Selected Costs Tab, indicating that the user selected the Costs tab on the Purchase Order Lines form.
