Refreshing the BOD metadata cache for a server farm

When you develop applications in a multi-tenant cloud environment, ensure that you periodically refresh the BOD metadata cache. Although technically not a requirement, this practice helps keep a build-up of BOD metadata in the cache from impairing system performance.
  1. Open the Refresh Farm Metadata form.
  2. Select if the refresh applies to the current configuration only or to all configurations of the current tenant.
  3. Click Refresh farm BOD Metadata.
This action sets the refresh date in the local configuration database and clears the cached BOD metadata.
Note: Depending on the internal polling cycles on the servers in the farm, this action might take a few minutes to complete. And after you receive a success message, wait for another three minutes before you proceed.
