Exporting a composite component

You can export a composite component in the form of a specially formatted file. You can then copy this file to another system or import it into another App Builder project.

To export a composite component in the App Builder Repository to a file, use this procedure:

  1. On the Composite Components tab, select the composite component to export.
  2. Click the ••• icon on the tab toolbar and select Export to File.
  3. In the Export Composite Components dialog box, provide a name for the file.
    If you do not provide a name, App Builder uses the current date as the filename.
  4. Click Export.
App Builder saves the data service file with an *.iac extension to your Downloads folder.
