Form Wizard Selection

Use the Form Wizard Selection page to specify what type of form you want to create. You have these basic options:

• New form: This option allows you to select form types from an assortment of categories and wizards, including these:
  • Classic: This category provides wizards to create most of the standard form types for Mongoose-based applications, including MultiView, Query, Grid Only, Detail Only, Report, Tile, and Build from Scratch forms.
  • External Data Source (ExtDatasource): This category currently has only one form wizard, the Data Lake IDO Wizard.
  • Flex: This category currently has only one form wizard, the Basic Flex form wizard.
  • Form Builder: This category provides two basic form wizard types: Full Form and Widget. Each of these basic types has variants from which you can further refine the form creation.
  • New Data: This category provides two form wizards: Maintenance, which is the web client equivalent of the Data Maintenance Wizard in the Windows client; and XML to IDO Wizard, which allows you to create an IDO, tables, a form, and optionally, Replication Rules from an imported XML document.
  • REST: This category currently has only one form wizard, the REST API Wizard (APIGenerator), which allows you to define strongly typed APIs that generate their own accompanying Swagger documentation.
• Extend Form: This option allows you create a new form based on an existing form.

Once you select an option and click OK, the Web Designer launches the appropriate form wizard.
