Adding a NotebookTab component

  1. Open the form that contains the Notebook component that you want to add notebook tabs to.
  2. Go into Design Mode.
  3. Select the Notebook component.
    Note: If this notebook component is new, then two notebook tabs are automatically available. You must rename and configure these notebook tabs before creating additional tabs.
  4. Click the Edit notebook tab(s) button.
  5. In the Edit Contained Components dialog box, click Add (near the bottom of the dialog box).
  6. Configure the new tab with the components and data binding as needed.

    At the least, we recommend that you rename any new tabs to reflect their intended purpose. For example, if you are creating or adding a tab to contain the fields related to a customer's identification information, you can specify customerIDtab in the Properties > Name field.

    Note: You can hide notebook tabs in the web client display. You can use the Properties > Hidden field in the Edit Contained Components dialog box or use a form script.
