DataSearch Source Setup

Use this form to set up DataSearch sources that include properties from IDOs. Users can then select this source on the DataSearch form to search the application, using those IDO properties, for specified strings.

This form includes four sections:

  • The top section includes specifications about the IDO to use, record caps, filters, and the properties to use in sorting the data that is retrieved.
  • General tab: These settings specify exactly what IDO properties are to be searched and what IDO properties are to display in the retrieved results. You can also specify whether to search and display any attached notes.
  • Search Sets tab: These settings specify any additional DataSearch source sets that are to be included with this source when performing a DataSearch.
  • User Permissions tab: These settings control exactly which users and/or groups have access to the data retrieved when using this source for a DataSearch.
