Retesting application event triggers

When the Retest At date setting on the Event Trigger form becomes older than the current system clock time, the event trigger is available to be processed by the Infor Framework Event Service. This happens when the Event Service is free from processing any waiting queued events and handlers and any already-waiting triggers that need to be tested or retested.

To process the event trigger, the system analyzes and evaluates the condition:

  • If the condition evaluates to True, then the application event fires. At that point, the Retest At date setting is set to the current time plus the amount of time set for the Trigger Reset Interval (seconds). If the Trigger Reset Interval (seconds) is set to 0 (zero), then the Active check box is cleared, which indicates that the trigger is not to be retested.
  • If the condition evaluates to False, then the Retest At date setting is set to the current time plus the amount of time set for the Condition Retest Interval (seconds). If the Condition Retest Interval (seconds) is set to 0 (zero), then the Active check box is cleared, which indicates that the trigger is not to be retested.
