Regenerating replication triggers

Note: No other users should be in the database or logged into the system when you perform this procedure.
  1. Open the Replication Management form.
  2. To regenerate replication triggers for all tables used for replication, in the Regenerate Replication Triggers section, select the Regenerate All Triggers option.
Alternatively, to regenerate replication triggers only for tables with modified database objects and settings used in data replication, clear the Regenerate All Triggers option.
  3. Click Regenerate Replication Triggers.
The T-SQL trigger code is dropped and re-created in the database.

For each site used in a transactional replication rule, the regeneration process checks that “linked servers” are set up before regenerating the replication triggers. If this validation fails for any linked server, an error message displays and the regeneration cannot continue until the linked server is set up.
