Exporting a composite component to a file

After you have created a composite component, you might decide you want to use it in other projects as well. To do this, you must export the composite component to a file and then import it into the other project.

To export a composite component to a file, use this procedure:

  1. With the App Builder project that has the composite component open, on the Components panel, select the Composite tab.
  2. Click Manage Composite Components.
  3. In the Project Composite Components dialog box, select the (check box for) the composite component you want to export.
  4. Click Export to File.
  5. In the Export Composite Components dialog box, provide the Name of the exported file.
  6. Click Export.
  7. Click Close.
App Builder creates the composite component file with the ".iac" extension and saves it to your Downloads folder.
