Creating and assigning tags

When creating an App Builder project, it is generally a good idea to assign one or more tags to the project. These tags are used later to help search for and identify the project.

Note: To view a list of all the tags currently defined in App Builder, use the drop-down field on the dashboard that displays the default value All. This drop-down list displays all tags currently defined.

To create and assign a tag for use with an App Builder project:

  1. After beginning the process of creating a project, on the New Project page, click inside the Tags field.
Note: If you are creating or assigning a tag to an existing project, you can assign tags using the Project Settings option from the ellipses (•••) menu in the workspace. This opens the Project Settings dialog box, which contains a Tags field that is identical in function to the one on the New Project page.
  2. In the Tags field, type the text for the tag.
If you already have any tags defined in your system, and if the text you are typing matches any of them, they display automatically below the Tags field as you type. If no tags match the text you type, that displays says: No Results.
  3. Perform one of these actions:
    • If App Builder identified any tags that you can reuse, select the tags and then press Enter.
    • If App Builder did not identify any existing tags (that is, it displays No Results), click the plus (+) button. This adds the tag to the list of existing tags and to your project.

Whichever action you perform, App Builder adds the tags to the list of tags assigned to the project and displays them above the Tags field.
