Importing user accounts from a file

You can import users from a comma-separated or tab-separated file.

Include the first name, last name, login name, M3 login name, and email address of the user in the import file.

The order of the fields in the import file is not important.

Note:  Ensure that the users have the appropriate IFS role. When you create an import file using Microsoft Excel and save it as CSV, ensure that the CSV file has no extra empty line. To check the content of the CSV file, open the CSV file using a text editor.
  1. Select User maintenance > Import users from file.
  2. Select the field delimiter type of the import file.
  3. Select Fields enclosed in quotes if the field names are enclosed in quotes.
  4. Select Field headers if your file contains a header.
  5. Click Open file and locate the import file.
  6. Map the User fields with the Import file columns. First, select a field in the User fields table, then select a field in the Import file columns table. To set the mapping, click the right arrow.
  7. Click Load file. The contents of the import file are loaded and shown in the Import file rows table.
