Reporting travel time incurred and defining charges
If the inspection lines are defined, it
is recommended to report the inspection lines first before reporting on any other time
transactions.
- In the Time Reports tab, tap or click the plus button to report a new time entry.

In the Report Time dialog, specify this
information:
- Line Type

You can opt to define the Line Type to indicate what type of time transaction is reported. By default, Line Type column is set to 1 - Labor Time, by hours.Note: Line type defines if the reported time transaction is Labor or Travel. It also defines if the reported time transaction is by hours or Start date and time and Finish date and time.
- Technician
- Select a technician from the list to report
the labor time for another technician.Note: The Technician parameter is controlled in Field Service Settings > Operation Reporting params in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox.
- Labor/Travel Time (Hrs:Mins)
- Specify the number of hours rendered.
- Start date and time

The column is set by default depending on the mobility status. To specify a new value, tap or click the date picker and select the new date. Tap SET.Note: When interval options for date and time picker is defined in Toolbox, you can set the start date and time or finish date and time in the future. Time transactions set in the future are saved as a draft.
To enable interval options for date and time picker, contact your system administrator.
- Finish date and time

When interval options for date and time picker is defined in Toolbox, you can set the start date and time or finish date and time in the future. Time transactions set in the future are saved as a draft.

- Labor charge code

You can opt to define the Labor charge code to indicate how time is classified.
- Costing type
- You can opt to define the Labor charge code to indicate how the time is calculated (Example: costing).
- Injury free
- The column is used to indicate if the employee is injury free after the work is completed.
- Remark
- This field indicates an optional remark or comment.
- Submit for approval
- This field indicates if the time transaction is ready for approval from the back office.
- Save as draft
- This option temporarily stores the created time report in the cache memory. Selecting this option and clicking save displays a Draft indicator on the Time Reportstab list.
- To save the record, tap or click SAVE. If you opt to discontinue the transaction, click CANCEL.
