Defining a setter

  1. In the Setter section, click New.
  2. Specify this information:
    Type
    Select Column.

    This field defines if the condition is applied against a group, a section or a column.

    Group/Section/Column
    Select from the list of table columns available for this dialog.

    The values in this list depend on what you have selected in Type. If you select group as the Type, all active groups are listed. If you select section, all sections are listed. If you select column, all table columns for this dialog are listed.

    Note: You can select the browse filters as type columns and set to display or not display in the screen.
    True Action
    Select setValue to set a value on a specific field depending on the column and column name under Type and Column. The selected option is applied to the selected group, section, or column when a certain condition is met.

    These options are available if the type you have selected is group:

    • Hide: The group screen or dialog is not displayed.
    • Show: The group screen or dialog is displayed.

    These options are available if the type you have selected is section:

    • Hide: The group screen or dialog is not displayed.
    • Show: The group screen or dialog is displayed.

    These options are available if the type you have selected is column:

    • Enable: The columns are enabled or updatable.
    • Disable: The columns are not enabled or updatable.
    • Hide: The columns are not displayed.
    • Show: The columns are displayed.
    • Makemandatory: The column is required.
    • Removemandatory: The column is not required.
    • Clearvalue: The value of the column is cleared.
    • None: Nothing happens.
    False Action
    Select None so that no action is done on the column and column name under Type and Column. The selection action is applied to the selected group, section, or column when a certain condition is not met.
    Value
    Value displays the available codes encoded in the column that is selected in the Group/Section/Column field.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Click Save for the entire dialog triggers against the dialog design.
