Assigning a role

  1. Select User maintenance > User.
  2. From the list of users, select the user that you need to assign a role to.
  3. In the Role tab below the list of users, select the roles that you need to assign.

    One column displays a check box that you can select if the role is for the selected user. The other column displays the check box for the running role. The Running Role setting defines the dialogs and menus that a user sees when opening an application.

    Note: A user can have multiple Used roles but there must only be one defined running role.
