MFS automatically reports travel and labor time based on mobility status changes

This feature is part of Infor Mobility for Field Service 2022.x Service Pack 1 release.

Description

Go to M3 Mobility Core Toolbox and select System configuration > Field Service setting > Operation reporting params > Time reporting. To enable this feature, select Auto report time based on mobility status change.

When the technician sets Auto report time based on mobility status change, MFS automatically reports travel and labor time based on the changes in mobility status. When this setting is enabled , the service technician must define the default labor charge code, labor costing type, travel charge code, and travel costing type.

When the status is Operation started, the draft time entry is created for the labor report. MFS automatically updates the Actual and Finish date and time of the Start Operation time entry when the mobility status is set to any of these options: Stop Operation, Stop/Interruption, Finish Work, Reallocate Work, or Decline.

When the status is Travel started, the draft time entry is created for the travel report. MFS automatically updates the Actual and Finish date and time of the Start Travel time entry when the mobility status is set to any of these options: Stop Travel, Arrived on Site, Stop/Interruption, Start Operation, or Decline.

If the service technician reverts the mobility status, a delete message is displayed. The service technician can select Yes, No, or Cancel.

Selecting Yes automatically discards the generated line and the change in mobility status proceeds. Selecting No automatically updates the time stamp indicated in Actual Finish date and the time entry and the changes in mobility status can still proceed. And lastly, selecting Cancel has no changes in the mobility status and no deletion of time transaction.

MFS still allows adding time reports manually. Manual time entries are checked to avoid overlaps in existing time entries.
