MFS now supports mandatory time approval and revised time reporting process

Description

In M3 Mobility Core Toolbox, these are the improvements:

There are the new Operation reporting parameters settings in M3 Mobility Core > Field Service settings:
  • Use Hour for Time Reporting: This parameter controls if Used hours is allowed.
  • Use Start/Stop Reporting: This parameter controls if Date and Time Reporting is allowed.
There are also new Time reporting parameters in M3 Mobility Core > Field Service settings. These parameters are now set with default item numbers, but still considers the existing configurations:
  • Item number/ Item name – Labour time
  • Item number/ Item name – Travel time
In MFS mobile app, these are the improvements:
  • The technician performs time report on Work Order Operation level.
  • The technician can now do time reporting in the mobile app aside from WorkOrderOperation > Time report tab.
  • The Time report now contains a summary screen for each reported entity. When adding or updating a record, the user can open the Detail screen showing these columns:
  1. Line type: This column has these available options: Labor Time by Hours, Labor Time by Start/Stop, Travel Time by Hours, and Travel Time by Start/Stop.
  2. Technician: The default setting is Log on technician. The default setting can still be changed to other technicians depending on the Time reporting settings under Operation reporting parameters.
  3. Labor charge code: These are the M3 records that are synced and set in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox. Normally, these codes are used to classify the reported time, example standard-time, premium time, or overtime.
  4. Costing type: These are M3 records that are synced and set in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox. Normally used to define how time reports are priced example for Charge or free of charge time
  5. Injury free: This setting is set as enabled or disabled in the M3 Mobility Core Toolbox. When this setting is enabled, the technician is required to report if they are free from any injury after performing the service.
  6. Save as draft: It is now possible to create records in draft state and save it in cache without sending it toM3 Mobility Core for processing. This allows the technician to update the time report as the work progresses.

  7. Filter List view : The Time Reports tab now consists of time transactions for the work order operation in a consolidated list (travel or labor), regardless if reported in the MFS app, in M3, or reported by the current technician or other technicians. The list now includes split time transactions that are processed by M3 after a certain time transaction is processed (usually after midnight, or for overtime calculation). In addition, there is now a calculation of Total labor time and Total travel time at the bottom of the screen.
  8. Transaction logs: All performed transactions can be viewed in the M3 Mobility Core > Mobility Transaction Manager (MTM) and also in the Transaction Manager (TM) of the MFS mobile application.

To enable the enhanced time reporting process feature, see Infor M3 Mobility Core Tenant Administration Guide.

To use the new dialogs, the role must be connected to another Service Assignment dialog. For the procedure, see Infor Mobility for Field Service Administration Guide.
