R and S Charts

Range charts display the projected ranges and the control limits. The projected range is color-coded in the same method as Xbar charts.

The Range chart can be categorized into two types:

• R = Range chart (variation between subgroups)
• S = Standard Deviation charts - similar to Range, but the STDEV is calculated and projected.
