Subgroups
A subgroup is a set of measurements that displays a snapshot of a manufacturing process at a specific time. By analyzing subgroups, you can track process variations and identify unusual changes. This analysis determines whether a process is stable or requires an adjustment to maintain quality. In SPC charts, subgroups are defined as part of the inspection setup. A subgroup can include multiple variables, samples, heads, and positions. Large subgroups track trends across shifts, days, or weeks. Small subgroups provide detailed insight into process behaviour. The application provides various options that support requirements for each manufacturing process.
