Maintenance Restrictions
Maintenance Restrictions allow supervisors to maintain transactions related to maintenance procedures. Before approving or blocking a transaction, the application evaluates the importance of the required skill and the user's skill level.
Users must have specific skills linked to complete maintenance steps. If a user attempts to perform a step without the required skill, the application set the status of the step to Not Done, and the user cannot complete the task.
The application allows users to perform only the steps for which users are qualified. If users lack the required skills for maintenance, an error message indicates which skills are missing when the form is opened.
When the work order type is set to Request, the application considers only skills with the check box selected. For other work order types, the application considers all skills, including those with the check box selected.
For example, if there are five maintenance work orders (three autonomous and two requests) and two skill requirements (one with the check box selected), only users with all skills can complete all five orders. A user with only the skill that has can perform maintenance requests only.
When maintenance steps are revised, the application automatically copies the related skills to the new version. Supervisors do not require to update skills manually, as all changes are included in the latest version.
