Skill Expiry

Skill expiry allow supervisors to specify a validity period in days when creating a skill. This period determines the duration for which the skill remains active. This validity is applicable to the skill restriction and the skill assignment to a user.

A user with an assigned skill within the validity period can perform the task. If the skill expires and the user attempts a transaction, the application blocks the action. Supervisors can manually expire an assignment or update the default expiration date when assigning the skill.

Skill restrictions define where the skill applies, such as line, machine, or material. When creating a skill restriction, the application defines a default expiry date based on the validity period of that skill. Supervisors can override this date manually. Skill restrictions can be expired manually, which makes the restriction inactive.
