Inspection Restrictions
Inspection Restrictions allow supervisors to define skills that control who can perform inspections based on skill level. If an inspection includes applicable skills, the application verifies the assigned skill importance and the user’s skill level before allowing the inspection.
For in-line or line-side inspections where the user is not signing off, the application verifies the skills of all users signed on the line, not only the user performing the inspection. In all other scenarios, only the user performing the inspection is verified.
Users can be assigned to a specific inspection version or permitted to conduct inspections, regardless of the version. Inspection restriction includes the option, which allows users to sign off an inspection when required. However, only if the skill is assigned for that user.
When an inspection or inspection version is revised, the skills are copied to the new revision. Supervisors do not require to copy or create new skills after an update.
