Grouping
You can use this filter to aggregate, organize and summarize report data based on the selected criteria. This filter supports multiple grouping options to analyse trends and aggregate results. You can specify this information in the filter:
- Show Details
- If this check box is selected, the report includes detailed (record-level) data. If this check box is cleared, additional fields are displayed to select aggregate options.
- Group by
- The data fields to group the report data. You can select up to four fields to aggregate the report data. This field is displayed only if the check box is cleared.
- Add Total Row
- If this check box is selected, the report includes the total count for the selected grouping. This check box is displayed only if you select a value in the field.
- Include Running Totals
- If this check box is selected, the report includes a Qty Running Total column that displays the total quantity for the selected grouping.
- Top N
- The maximum number of records to display for each selected grouping. When grouping is enabled, this field limits the result to the specified number for the grouped items. For example, if a downtime report is grouped by downtime reason and Top N is set to 5, the report displays only the top five downtime reasons.
