Adding a task

The Task widget displays a task that is separated from the associated data source. This widget works as a standalone component on the dashboard. You can perform actions directly on the dashboard, using the Task widget.

To add a task widget:

  1. Select Application Configuration > Configuration > Application > Dashboard Library. The Dashboard Library screen is displayed.
  2. Click the required dashboard. The Dashboard Builder screen is displayed.
  3. Click Edit. A confirmation window is displayed.
  4. Click Ok. The Select a Topic section is displayed.
  5. Click the required topic. The Select a Data Source section is displayed.
  6. Click the required data source. The Select a Widget Type section is displayed.
  7. Click Task. The Select a Task section is displayed.
  8. Drag and drop the required option from the Select a Task section to the dashboard. The Configure Task Widget section is displayed.
  9. Specify this information:
    Data Source
    The data source linked to the widget.
    Enable Test
    A read only view of the current enable test that indicates whether that task is enabled is disabled on the dashboard.
    Target
    The screen to be displayed when you click the dashboard.
  10. Click Save.
