Adding a grid

The Grid widget displays data in a tabular format based on the referenced data source. These are the available tabular formats:

  • Full: Displays data with filters and tasks linked to the data source.
  • Simple: Displays only data returned from the data source without tasks.

To add a grid widget:

  1. Select Application Configuration > Configuration > Application > Dashboard Library. The Dashboard Library screen is displayed.
  2. Click the required dashboard. The Dashboard Builder screen is displayed.
  3. Click Edit. A confirmation window is displayed.
  4. Click Ok. The Select a Topic section is displayed.
  5. Click the required topic. The Select a Data Source section is displayed.
  6. Click the required data source. The Select a Widget Type section is displayed.
  7. Click Grid. The Select a Grid section is displayed.
  8. Drag and drop the Add New option from the Select a Grid section to the dashboard. The Configure Grid Widget section is displayed.
  9. Specify this information:
    Hide Title?
    If this check box is selected, the title of the grid widget is not displayed.
    Grid Type
    The data to be displayed on the widget. Possible values:
    • Full: All tasks and filters related to the data source are displayed.
    • Simple: Only records without tasks or filters are displayed.
    Font Size
    The size of the font in the widget.
    Click Action Area
    The location that opens when you click the widget. For example, if you set this field to Overview, clicking the widget takes you to the Dashboard Overview screen.
  10. Click Save.
