Gauge Configurations

This section provides information about the manual gauges that are used in the manufacturing plants to record measurement data for various products. Manual gauges include digital callipers and scales, and complex gauges, such as seam monitors for double seam cans and enamel raters for coatings the materials.

Infor MES can import data from manual gauges that connect to PCs through R232 or USB. The spreadsheet style data entry page in MES displays the data in real-time.

To view and configure a gauge, navigate to Application Configuration > Configuration > Environment > Gauge Configurations.

You can use these options on the Gauge Configurations screen:

• Add: Allows you to create a new gauge configuration.
• Edit: Allows you to modify an existing gauge configuration.
• Delete: Allows you to delete an existing gauge configuration.
• View Device Outputs: Allows you to view and configure outputs for a gauge configuration.
• JSON: Allows you to view the JSON definition for a gauge configuration.
• Show Linked Asset: Allows you to view assets that use a gauge configuration.
