Asset Configuration

This chapter provides information on configuring the master data related to the assets. This configuration is based on the settings defined in the core model.

It is recommended that you configure the master data in this sequence to set up the Assets settings:

  1. Configure Asset Material Types and Asset Materials. See, Asset Material Types and Asset Materials.
  2. Define Asset States and if required, create Asset State Workflows and Business Rules. See, Asset States, Asset State Workflows, and Business Rules.
  3. Configure Asset State Reason Sets and Asset State Reasons. See, Asset State Reason Sets and Asset State Reasons.
  4. Configure Asset State Reason Groups, if required for reporting purposes. See, Asset State Reason Groups.
  5. Define Asset Categories. See, Asset Categories.
  6. Configure pre-defined Assets such as lines and machines.

  8. Configure Asset Counters and assign assets, if required. See, Asset Counters.
