Production Configuration
This chapter provides information about configuring master data for the Production functionality.
Some features work with other modules and require additional configuration detailed in other chapters. You must define and implement the core model before configuring the data for this functionality.
It is recommended that you configure the master data in this sequence to set up the Production module settings:
- Configure downtime master data
- Define Stop Categories used to classify machine and production stops. See, Stop Categories.
- Configure Production Stop Reason Sets and Production Stop Reasons to record stops occurring at the production level. See, Production Stop Reason Sets and Production Stop Reasons.
- Configure Machine Stop Reason Sets and Machine Stop Reasons to capture downtime at the machine level. See, Machine Stop Reason Sets and Machine Stop Reasons.
- Configure Machine Stop Reason Groups and assign the appropriate machine stop reasons, if required for reporting. See, Machine Stop Reason Groups.
- Configure Production counting
- Configure Production Counter Sets and Production Counters. See, Production Counter Sets and Production Counters.
- Configure Production Counter Groups and assign the relevant production counters, if required for reporting. See, Production Counter Groups.
- Configure Scrap counting
- Configure Scrap Reason Sets and Scrap Reasons. See, Scrap Reason Sets and Scrap Reasons.
- Configure Scrap Reason Groups and assign the appropriate scrap reasons, if required for reporting. See, Scrap Reason Groups.
- Create Rework Counter Sets and Rework Counters to configure Rework counting. See, Rework Counter Sets and Rework Counters.
- Configure OPC settings, if automated data capture is required.
- Define OPC Clients and associated OPC Servers. See, OPC Clients and OPC Server.
- Configure OPC Groups and OPC Items used for data acquisition. See, OPC Groups and OPC Items.
- Configure Labor tracking (if in scope).
- Define Wage Types. See, Wage Types.
- Configure Projects and Tasks required for labor time bookings. See, Projects and Tasks.
- Configure Overhead Orders and Categories used for indirect labor bookings. See, Overhead Orders and Categories.
